Rx Savings Solutions offers multiple Healthy Boiler workshops on lowering prescription costs

Representatives from Rx Savings Solutions will offer a virtual Healthy Boiler workshop titled “The Easiest Way to Lower Prescription Costs” at various times Oct. 17-28.

Many prescriptions offer at least one way to pay less for the same treatment; however, very few consumers know all the options or where to look. In conjunction with Purdue’s prescription plan, Rx Savings Solutions is a free, confidential program for Purdue employees that does it all — automatically.

The workshop will show employees:

• How to activate their account.
• How to use the web or mobile app.
• How to recognize savings opportunities for them and their dependents.
• Features like the medicine cabinet and medication reminders.

A Q&A session will follow the workshop.

“Rx Savings Solutions is a valuable benefit to Purdue employees, offered at no cost to them,” said Candace Shaffer, senior director of benefits in Human Resources. “Our employees and their families have seen significant cost savings as a result of using Rx Savings Solutions. Members are automatically alerted by Rx Savings Solutions via text or email if they are paying too much for their prescriptions.”

Through June 30, 2022, Purdue has seen:

• $140 average total savings per fill for those Purdue members who have used Rx Savings Solutions.
• 9,362 savings notifications sent to Purdue members who have an account with Rx Savings Solutions.]

Rx Savings Solutions is offering the workshop several times to meet the diverse needs of the Purdue community.
